2. Spread the Word! eMail 10 people!

Once logged in simply share via Facebook or other social media with just a few clicks and use the email button to send to close friends and family. 

Our goal is for all parents to send 10 emails to family/friends and post on Facebook. Every communication helps! 

3. Be Social!

Parents who share their student's fundraising page by sending 10 emails average $100.00. Post on Facebook or other social media with just a few clicks and average another $50!

Why a Read-A-Thon?

The Booth Hill School is proud to announce our first Read-A-Thon fundraiser event kicking off on April 2nd, 2018. The Read-A-Thon event will help promote reading for our students and the best part is that 100% of the money collected will be used at our school for our children. 

 

We are looking to raise money to help purchase $5,000 of books for the library, as well as provide new hooks for our classrooms (520 Qty. Henkel Safety Hooks are being ordered - over a $4,000 cost). Our fundraiser will help make a great impact on our students and classrooms. All additional money will be allocated to classroom and library supplies as outlined by our Principal and Teachers. 

This event will work along with the BHS "One School One Book" program that is being funded by the PTA and the Fathers Club. The program will be beginning in April and we will have more details coming soon.

Our Goal!

Our initial goal for the school is $11,500 with 23 Classrooms (averaging 20 students) that is $500 per classroom. On average that is $25 per student. If each student could raise $50 that would put us at $23,000 which would be amazing and could make a real impact on our classrooms. Schools like Daniels Farm in the past have raised over $40,000 by each student on average raising $100!

Prizes for the Classrooms!

The Read-A-Thon will have prizes for each classroom being set up by the teachers. Each student that registers for the event online will receive a BHS Wristband, and each classroom has opportunities to win items such as the following:

 

  • Kindergarten Class - Extra Recess / Movie PJ Day

  • 1st Graders - Drive in Movies / Dance Parties

  • 2nd Graders - Extra Recess / Movie Day / Kickball / Dance Party

  • 3rd Graders - 45 Minutes Recess for One Week / No Homework for One Week

  • 4th Graders - Extra Recess / Movie Afternoon / No Homework / Picnic Lunch

  • 5th Graders - Extra Recess / Movie Afternoon
